Life and Career Coaching.

Approach.

I am an intuitive first-generation Afro-Dominican American cis-gendered woman. I was born and raised in New York City by a single mother who came to the United States at the tender age of 19 from the Dominican Republic in search of a better life. I am the oldest daughter of both of my parents, and it's a role that has informed and shaped how I show up as a natural problem-solver, caretaker, and trailblazer in all aspects of my life.

I am a life partner to a first-generation, Black American cis-gendered man, and we have two beautiful children. My motherhood journey has been my life's most significant physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual vehicle of healing, evolution, expansion, and acceptance.

Being a mom of color is one of my most salient identities that informs how I show up and live my life.

Process.

Currently, I am Head of Talent DEI and Learning and Development at IDEO at IDEO, a creative design-thinking consulting firm. In my role, I apply an equity lens to all of IDEO’s Talent department systems and processes to prioritize designing inclusive and supportive spaces for our marginalized communities. I am also able to exercise my superpower of creating intentional spaces where learners can step into vulnerability through my human-centered design and facilitation of programs and training.

Before joining IDEO, I worked in the non-profit and public sectors in different roles. My experience ranged from assisting first-generation high school students to apply and enroll in college, to conducting research and analyzing data to inform city-wide mentoring programs and initiatives for youth of color at the NYC Mayor’s Office. I also supported leadership and teams by designing and leading strategy and team development sessions, as well as facilitating conversations around diversity, equity, and inclusion organization-wide.

Through my personal and professional experiences, I have become an intentional leader and a creative talent development strategist with a focus on equity and belonging. As a Woman of Color navigating a capitalist corporate workforce, I have found myself drawn to coaching and consulting. I have personally experienced the transformative power of coaching and have witnessed its benefits on a collective level through group coaching experiences. I believe coaching can provide a healing space for those who have experienced intergenerational and workplace trauma, helping them reclaim their sense of self and power.

Pricing.

I earned my coaching certification from Blooming Willow's Healing Centered Coaching Program - an ICF-accredited coaching program. I am currently pursuing a Somatic Attachment Therapy Certification from The Embody Lab - an educational program that explores the transformative power of somatics and attachment work, one that fosters true healing in the form of compassionate and sustaining relationships.

I have a Master of Public Administration from CUNY Baruch, a BA in Sociology with a concentration in Human Services, and a minor in Black Studies from SUNY New Paltz.
